On the afternoon of September 28, 2025, Zhejiang Qingda Rubber Co., Ltd. held a special meeting on digital project promotion, focusing on the strategic goal of "intelligent transformation and digital transformation" and deploying the core tasks of the enterprise's digital transformation. The meeting was chaired by General Manager Li Wenqing, and was attended by heads of production, R&D, information technology and other departments as well as members of the project team to discuss digital upgrade paths.
As a high-tech enterprise in Zhejiang Province, Qingda Rubber has been deeply involved in the field of rubber products for nearly 30 years. Its products include "QIND" brand scooters, electric bicycles, ATVs, motorcycles, lawn mowers and other five series of more than 200 specifications of tires and air springs, which are exported to European and American markets. However, in the face of intensified industry competition and diversified customer demands, companies urgently need to improve production efficiency and optimize supply chain management through digital means. This meeting clearly stated:
Short-term goal: Complete the digital transformation of core production links by the end of 2025, and increase the digital control rate of key processes to 75%;
Long-term goal: Build a full-process digital management platform to promote the transformation of enterprises into a "future factory" model.
The meeting disclosed that Qingda Rubber has launched a number of digital initiatives: introducing smart sensors and Internet of Things technology to monitor the operation data of vulcanizers, molding machines and other equipment in real time, and shortening the response time to fault warnings by 60%; through the digital management system, dynamic allocation of raw material inventory has been achieved, and the inventory turnover rate has increased by 30%.
The meeting emphasized that project advancement needs to be centered around the three cores of "top-level design, collaborative innovation, and assessment and incentives": establishing a digital transformation leadership group headed by Li Wenqing to clarify the division of responsibilities among various departments; introducing ERP, PLM, MES and other systems to achieve full-link digitalization from R&D to production; incorporating digital project progress into departmental KPIs, and rewarding teams that exceed their goals.
The meeting drew on benchmark cases in Zhejiang Province and proposed a "two-wheel drive" strategy: 1. Benchmark Zhongce Rubber: Learn from its "Future Factory" construction experience, realize the automation of the entire production process through tens of thousands of sensors, and increase labor productivity by 300%; 2. Leverage policy dividends: actively apply for provincial digital transformation special subsidies, and has currently passed the high-tech enterprise review, and is expected to receive financial support of more than 1 million yuan.
Li Wenqing emphasized in his summary: "Digitalization is not a multiple-choice question, but a must-answer question related to the survival of the enterprise. The next step will be to break through the problem of data islands, build an enterprise-level digital twin system, and strive to become a digital benchmark enterprise in the national rubber industry by 2026."
This meeting marked Qingda Rubber’s comprehensive entry into the deep-water zone of digital transformation. With the implementation of the project, this traditional manufacturing company is using technological innovation to reshape its competitiveness and inject new momentum into the construction of Zhejiang's "415X" advanced manufacturing cluster.
